This radio documentary has won an award for best in depth reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists, and a 2nd place award for best documentary from PRNDI in 2005.
Firoozeh's Radio Diary
When Firoozeh Dumas went on her first book tour, and her first trip away from her life as a stay at home Mom, we sent her to New York armed with a mini disc recorder. The result is this "radio diary." The title of her book is "Funny in Farsi." Holly Kernan wrote and I designed and mixed this piece. Aired on "Up Front" on 9/26/03.
Anatomy of a Wrongful Conviction, Part 1
Rick Walker spent over 10 years in California's most notorious prisons, convicted of a crime that he didn't commit. This is Part 1 of the story of how he finally came to be exonerated by the state. Holly Kernan wrote and voiced it, and I edited, mixed and designed the piece that aired 9/19/03.

Preview of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Bombay Dreams"
Lisa Tsering, Entertainment Editor for India West, previewed this West meets East Broadway style production in London's West End. I recorded, produced and mixed this piece which aired 8/2/02 on "Up Front". I just find it light and humorous. Who can resist?
The Power Exchange
The Power Exchange is a sex club in San Francisco. This is a feature story about the club that aired on KQED's program "Hot Soup," in September of 1998. NPR's Jason Beaubien was the host at that time, Rachel Gotbaum reported, and I produced, designed and mixed it.
Ethnic Media News Theme
I created this :18 second news theme from a 11 minute long piece titled "Monday," by composer Michael Torke, blended it with some voices I retrieved off of various non-English TV news shows, and viola (after some serious editing), a news theme
for stories from the Ethnic Media.
